How to check if reverse osmosis filter is working properly?
Here are a few simple steps that will allow you to check the status of your device in just a few minutes!
These actions are recommended for each periodic replacement of cartridges:
- close the tank valve,
- wait 5 minutes (during this time do not draw water from the spout),
- disconnect the hose leading to the sewage system and check if water is flowing.
A few minutes after closing the tank valve, enough pressure will build up inside the system that two valves should be activated: a check valve (usually located in the elbow through which clean water flows out of the membrane housing) and a four-way valve (S-3000 block), which closes the water supply to the system.
Water constantly flowing into the drain means that one of these valves is not working properly.
How to mount?
The new check valve should be connected in accordance with the water flow direction (indicated by the arrow on the valve) just behind the elbow that drains clean water from the membrane. The four-way valve should be connected according to the drawing below:
